VC Band Parents,
I would like to extend a huge welcome to all of you on behalf of the Vandebilt
Band Booster’s Club!
For those of you who are veterans, welcome back and for all of our
newcomers, we are so happy to have you with us! We look forward to getting to know you and your student this
year. I am Susan Snyder, Band
Booster President for the 2011-2012 school year. I have been involved in the organization as a member and
have served as Treasurer for the past several years. We have a truly outstanding group of parents who are very
active in our organization and tremendously supportive of our music, dance and
guard programs. I would like to take this opportunity to
invite each of you to get involved this year and find out what makes our group
so unique and our program so successful. We have the distinct honor of working very closely with the staff
and students throughout the year.
It is such a joy see our students progress and gain achievements as they
learn and grow during the year and knowing that our assistance and support
helps them in their endeavors is very rewarding!
The Band Booster organization contributes in many ways through our time,
talents and treasures! We support all areas of the Band program
which include band, dance, guard and winter programs. We always need lots of assistance with
watering the band, chaperoning events, transportation of equipment, sewing
flags, nursing care for our students, working football concessions and other
fundraisers, cheering our students on at competitions and performances…..and
the list goes on! We meet monthly
on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Band Room, so please join
us. Our first meeting will be on
August 9, 2011 at 6:30 pm. Our
website has calendars, practice and performance information and updates to keep
you informed as well, please visit our site often at www.vcband.org to get valuable information.
If you are available to come and help with Band Camp from July 18th
through July 28th, we welcome your help and of course, you are
welcome to come by any time to watch rehearsal and support the group in all their
hard work and efforts. If you have questions, please let
